Eternal Soulmate

For so many years I felt as if half of me was missing.
Great pain within my soul I knew something was missing.
I was living life like my friends and family- graduated, marriage, and a job.
Still life seemed so meaningless, "Is this it!" I would sob.
Then I heard how a man named Jesus had died on a tree. (1)

I ‘d heard the story before, but never believed He’d given His life for me.
Accepting Him as Lord of my life, something began to change within my heart.
The aching and loneliness were gone, Jesus gave me a fresh new start. (2)

Once I had been a sad empty half; until, Jesus touched me and made me whole!
I was a sinner like so many lost. Thank you, Jesus for saving my soul!
Now I’m waiting for the wedding day, praying in Him I may be found. (3)

For I know heaven will be ready soon, then Jesus will shout, "Let the trumpet sound!"
Lifting off this earth to meet in the sky, we’ll know victory is ours
as we gaze into our Saviour’s loving eyes!
He’ll take His bride by the hand to lead us thru the Heavenly Gate. (4)

There the table is set for the feast, ‘cause we’re finally home to live
with our Lord, our Saviour, our ETERNAL SOULMATE!!!! (5)

Then at long last we’ll know what it means to say,
"And they lived happily ever after. The End."
(Only it’ll just be the beginning! Hallelujah!!!) (6)

Dear friends,

Maybe you are unsure of some things in this poem, maybe you’ve never even heard of the rapture or the marriage supper of the lamb. I know before I found Jesus I had no clue of what it meant to be born again or any of these other things because I had not read the Bible for myself. So here are some verses from the King James Bible which will help you understand what God has waiting for all those who give their lives to Jesus Christ. I sincerely hope you’ll take a little time to look them up and read them for yourselves and not just take my word for it or anyone else’s. I mean it is your eternal life we’re talking about and it’s up to you to decide where you want to spend it.
