Programming

BBN broadcasts thirteen hours daily beginning at 5:45.00am, with a midday break between 1pm and 5pm. Our programs are ministry oriented with a vision of reaching out to the unsaved and helping Christians grow in their faith in Christ. With Knowledge of the society in which we operate, we design and present most programs in the lingua franca. News, and other development oriented programs like health, education, etc also form part of our program schedule. Public discussion style programs, which encourage public participation though the telephone, occur two or three times weekly.

Having the advantage of being stationed on the highest cliff of Wilberforce, west of Freetown, BBN can be heard as far as parts of Kissy in Eastern Freetown, Lungi, parts of Port Loko in the North of the country and parts of neighboring Guinea.

All programs are edited and certified before being aired. Programs are aired in both pre-recorded and live broadcast formats. BBN has no relationships with international broadcast networks such as BBC or VOA. Training programs for staff are organized quarterly.
